It is unlikely you would be reading this if you were not currently experiencing an emotional and quite difficult time in your life. You may be in the earliest stages of trying to find a permanent mental health care home for a family member or friend, or have done this before and now find yourself, for any number of reasons, having to relocate.
We have been doing this for long enough to know that no-one trips cheerily to the doors of a nursing home or relishes the prospect of giving up a much loved family home. We understand the issues that can be raised by placing someone in a care home are legion, and can have financial, emotional, legal and health implications for all concerned – not just the prospective resident.
It’s also doubtful that there’s much we can say at this stage that will make you feel any better about your situation, but we do care and we will help if we can. This team has a great deal of experience in dementia care and mental health care for adults, and we are willing and able to assist.
